In October in the city of Kazan Anatoly Cherepovsky, seismic expert, NewTech Services took part in a meeting with the management of the Institute of Geology and Oil and Gas Technologies, a subdivision of the Kazan (Privolzhsky) Federal University (KFU), which has more than 200 years of history.

Within the framework of the meeting Anatoly made a presentation of the new generation autonomous seismic recording technology. Teachers and researchers of the Institute of Geology and Oil and Gas Technologies expressed great interest in seismic technology and discussed the specifics of the introduction of wireless seismic survey in Russia. It was noted that the NuSeis technology and NRU buried modules guarantee the improvement of seismic data quality and have very good prospects in Russian weather conditions.

Ildus Chukmarov, deputy director of the Institute of Geology and Oil and Gas Technologies and director of the Center for Continuing Education (CDOMCiM), suggested that Anatoly Cherepovsky could take part in educational courses that are regularly held in KFU for leading Russian seismic contractors. In addition, Mr. Chukmarov expressed his hope for expanding contacts with NewTech Services and announced the possibility of organizing training courses for new users of NRU equipment in the near future.
